Final post

Hi Everyone,
Hope you had a nice weekend. As we would be due to get the summer holidays tomorrow I am putting up the final posting for the class blog today. I am not putting up any work but I am sure you will have plenty to keep you busy over the next few weeks.
I would like to thank you for all of the work and messages over the last few months. Your engagement and  discipline of working from home has been phenomenal. Also to your parent's who have helped you and kept you motivated. I know it's been hard but it is so important. Hopefully we will all see each other for our first day of school at the end of August. Until then I hope you all have a great and safe summer holidays. Take care and see you soon.
Mr. Forde

Hi hope you are all well. As this was the last week of written work that we had, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for the hard work you have been done at home over the last few months. It is hard to believe it has been that long and I know it has been a big transition for everyone. Hopefully the measures that were put in place will ensure we will be back safely to school in September.
I have included the answers to this weeks planet math's book if you click on the links below. I have also posted some activities you might like to try at home yourself for the summer. These are for your own enjoyment and you don't need to post them on See saw or anything. Try them out if you like. I have also included some virtual tours you might like to look at.

Also Water Safety Ireland has created a free educational resource for primary schools called PAWS (Primary Aquatics Water Safety). PAWS outlines life-saving guidelines for children of every age and is available digitally to every school in the country. It teaches children how to be safe around water in homes, farms, pools, beaches and on our waterways. With the summer holidays starting and restrictions on movement beginning to ease it may be a good thing to look at to refresh your safety around water.
If you have any work that you would like corrected please send it to me on see saw or to the email address: coralstownfifth@gmail.com. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Take care.

Hi everyone!

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

I hope everyone got on ok with last week’s work? Great to see so many of you engaging with the virtual sports day and lovely to see all of the wonderful posts and pictures on the virtual sports day wall. If you haven't got around to looking at it or putting up your pictures or posts you can access it here. virtual_sports_day Remember you have another week to try the activities or come up with your own challenges.
As always it's nice to see all of the work ye are doing and to hear from people on see saw or by email. Do continue to keep in contact with the lovely work you are doing.
This week because we are coming near to the summer holidays and we only have a day and a half next week. I am going to put up the last of the written work this week and suggest some activities ye can do next week for the day and a half.
The week’s suggested menu of activities is here Please do your best on the activities that you get completed.  Again parents, if you find that it’s taking too long and you would like to prioritise the sports that's fine. I hope ye enjoy it. If you have any questions you can contact me at coralstownfifth@gmail.com. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the blog and seesaw for answers!

I hope you got a chance to try out the reading eggs app. The school had set them up on a free trial basis that would have come to end on the 12th of June.

Attached below is an English comprehension Sadko the minstrel - a traditional Russian tale. There are questions on the story along with a cloze procedure.

There is also a revision grammar exercise on page 108 revising adjectives, prepositions, conjunctions and sentences. The grammar help link below will help you if you need help doing it.
